Paying and appealing fines

You may be fined on the train, for example if you do not have a valid ticket. You can pay fines immediately or later on, or you can choose to appeal the fine. Here is everything you need to know about paying and appealing fines.

Correction fee and boarding fee

If we don't know which stations you boarded or left the train, for example because you forgot to check in or out and didn't correct it in time, then we will charge you a correction fee or a boarding fee. See which situation applies to you.

Explaining your invoice

You can find the invoices for your NS Flex season ticket or season ticket on account under the tab heading 'Payment overview' in Mijn NS. This page shows your season ticket costs and any travel expenses. Log in to Mijn NS to view your invoices.
